CustomerGenius: Discount Abuse

CustomerGenius is exactly what we needed to prevent customers from gaming the system and getting multiple free gifts every time they canceled and restarted their subscriptions. We were really taken care of by customer service, it was second to none. We were assisted with custom development that perfected the app for us. A must-have app for all DTC stores!

CustomerGenius helped us uncover a fraud issue we didn’t even know we had: customers creating multiple accounts with different emails to reuse first-time purchase discount codes.

Thanks to the app, we identified several real cases — including one person with more than 25 orders under different identities. In the most recent case, we were able to spot the pattern the same day it happened, before the order was even shipped.

It’s easy to install and set up, and it has helped us recover money we otherwise would have never known we were losing. I’d definitely recommend it to any store using welcome, affiliate, or referral discounts.
