AddressPill is an address validator for Shopify stores shipping to Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the US, the UK, Australia, Canada and beyond. In checkout it warns about or blocks missing house numbers, PO boxes, Packstations, special characters and email typos. After purchase, address verification runs on the Thank You and Order Status pages: customers correct their own address, small ZIP and city typos are fixed, and problem orders are tagged, held or sent to Shopify Flow.

I was worried an address check would annoy customers at checkout, so I tested it on a quiet week first. Nobody complained and conversion didn't move. What did change: fewer parcels coming back with "address unknown". Most of the wrong ones were just a letter off in the street name, and the suggested fix was right almost every time. Great app!!

We ship around 8k orders a month to Germany and Austria and were getting a steady trickle of returned parcels because of typos in street names. AddressPill catches most of them now before the order goes out. Setup took maybe 5-10 minutes. Would love a bit more control over the wording of the message customers see, but that's minor.
