Import metaobjects by CSV using handles and URLs, not GIDs
Metaobjectify lets you create, update and export Shopify metaobjects in bulk with a CSV you can edit in Excel or Google Sheets. Reference fields take the values you already know: a product handle for product fields, a collection handle for collection fields, and a file URL for image and file fields. No GIDs to look up. Every row is checked before import, so missing fields and broken references are caught early. Existing handles update in place and new handles create entries.

Before using this app, updates that took me 2–3 hours to do manually can now be completed in around 30 minutes. The export/import process is much easier and saves a lot of time. Definitely worth installing if you regularly work with bulk updates.
